| The Housing
Mediation Board provides a neutral atmosphere in which disputing
parties are able to reach mutually acceptable, workable
solutions. The mediation board is composed of six to nine
mediators who are trained to work with landlords and tenants to assist
in settling disputes concerning fee increases, repairs, and other
landlord / tenant disagreements. The mediation session is
private and the results are legally binding and confidential.
All petitions must be filed within (10) working days of receipt of a
notice of a rent increase or notice to terminate rental
